Margaritaville is a nine-story 162-room Gulf Front luxury hotel on Pensacola Beach. The soil conditions for this project presented a unique challenge due to multiple, inconsistent compressible marine clay layers. After extensive analysis, we came up with the solution to support the proposed building on short, large diameter Auger Cast-In-Place piles founded above the shallowest clay layer to keep settlement within tolerance. We provided complete engineering and testing services for this project.
